Tom loves basketball. He can watch it, listen to it, or play it for countless hours on end. And he does. Since it is something he enjoys so much, I thought it would be fun to post some fun and exciting shots here.
This is a church game with a neighboring ward. I really like to go watch him play. I like watching him do something he is good at and that he enjoys so much. And it also helps to have seen the game - so when he talks about it OVER AND OVER, dissecting each play of the game - I know what he's actually talking about.
These guys play SO hard. They leave it all on the court, playing their hearts out. To watch them, you would almost think it was the NBA Finals! Sometimes I wonder if these men realize they've aged? In their minds, they think their bodies can still do all the things they could do when they were 18. And because of this, they inevitably come home with injuries - jammed fingers, bloody noses, sprained ankles, broken hands, torn ACLs. (All real injuries that have occurred in our ward!)
It must still be worth it though since they all still show up every Wednesday night.
