It's here! The BEST day of the whole year! This is the one day I look forward to all year; the day I anxiously plan, prepare, plot and scheme for. My favorite moment of the day is the kids' faces when they come out (one at a time, youngest to oldest) and see what Santa brought for them.
And YES - we still believe in Santa in our house. Because when you stop believing you get underwear for Christmas. How un-FUN is that??
Some of the highlights this year were: Susannah getting a TON of yarn and a crochet book (on how to crochet animals) from Grandma Beverly, the twins getting Harry Potter wands and pillow pets, Kate getting THREE Webkinz (all baby fish - adorable!), Jordan getting many, many books (that he'll probably have finished in a week!), the three older kids getting new bedding for their new bedrooms, Susannah's tetherball pole, the family's basketball arcade game, Mom's electric blanket from Dad (BEST gift ever!), and a very special gift from my mom and dad - a beautiful book of some of my Grandpa's paintings. Absolutely priceless.
It was a beautiful Christmas morning in our new home. It's days like this that turn into wonderful memories, and make this new house of ours start to feel like a home.
